Vidushi Dr. Nabanita Chowdhary, a musician par excellence, stands among the foremost Hindustani Classical vocalists of India. Her musical journey began at a tender age under the loving guidance of her mother, later blossoming under the tutelage of illustrious stalwarts such as Padma Bhushan Pandits Rajan and Sajan Misra, Padma Bhushan Vidushi Shobha Gurtu, and Pandit Deepak Chatterjee ‘Rasik Rang’, among others. Academically distinguished, Dr. Chowdhary secured First Position in Hindustani Classical Music in both her B.A.and M.A. courses, and holds a Ph.D. in Music. Her scholarly insights complement her artistic mastery, making her an exemplar of the seamless harmony between performance and research.
A Grade ‘A’ artiste of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan, Dr. Chowdhary has been a resplendent recipient of numerous awards, titles, scholarships, and national and international accolades.
